The Income Tax department investigation has reached the premises of Tapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap on March 3 in Mumbai. The IT department’s Probe unit was also conducting searches on filmmaker and entrepreneur Madhu Varma Mantena. He is known for producing multi-lingual movies Hindi, Telugu and Bangla. In 2008, Mantena co-produced Amir Khan Starrer Gajini.

Additionally, searches were on locations associated with film producer Vikas Behl and production company Phantom Films, HT Reports. The I-T searches are in connection with Kashyap’s Phantom Films, which was dissolved in 2018. Searches are also underway at several locations in Mumbai, including properties of Shibhashish Sarkar (CEO Reliance Entertainment), Afsar Zaidi (CEO Exceed), Vijay Subramaniam (CEO Kwan).
