Well, in their statement, the makers have clarified that “there is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay per view release of Maidaan”. Their main focus is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety n mind by following the Covid-19 protocols set by the government.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the statement of the makers of Maidaan on his social media handles. Boney Kapoor also Rubbished the Rumors and said to E-times, “My films are for theatres and we have already started the post-production of the film and are aiming to release it in cinema halls”. Maidaan is a biographical sports drama based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film also stars actress Priyamani as the female lead.
